Probably no one, but what if a newsletter could give you advice on how to online date, how to sext better, or how to stop getting so annoyed by social media? Let me introduce you to this new project of mine: Love Bytes, your weekly bite-sized (get it!) newsletter based on my research into online dating and social media. I’ve spent nearly a decade conducting research on people’s online dating habits and beliefs, ranging from compulsive dating app use to idealization of potential matches. I wrote a book on sexting and have presented that research in places ranging from Toronto to Hawaii. My work on social media has been covered internationally. What I’m saying is: I have a plethora of research, and that research is on topics that impact and interest just about everyone in some way. So I think now is the time to start sharing and applying that research in ways that can help online daters, sexters, and social media users have a better time with their technologies. And even if you don’t fall into one of those categories, you might still learn something new—maybe you’ll get really good at remembering random technology facts and stats for bar trivia!
